On July 26, 2020, the second China Zhucheng Hazelnut Harvesting Festival was grandly opened at Shandong Huashan Agriculture and Forestry Technology Co., Ltd. 667 Hectares hazelnut standardized planting demonstration base!

At the opening ceremony, colorful flags fluttered and hazel fragrance overflowed. More than 200 hazel friends and guests gathered at the base to witness and share the joy of the hazelnut harvest at the base!

 

The opening ceremony was presided over by Wang Zhenjun, a member of the Party Leadership Group of Zhucheng Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, and Party Secretary and Director of the Municipal Forestry Development Center.

Yang Peixiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor of Huanghua Town, Zhucheng City, delivered a welcome speech.

Zhao Zhifeng, a researcher at the Economic Forest Management Station of the Shandong Provincial Department of Natural Resources and the chairman of the Shandong Economic Forest Association, delivered a speech.

Wang Chuijun, a fourth-level investigator from Weifang Natural Resources and Planning Bureau, delivered a speech.

Wang Guixi, director of the Economic Forest Research Office of the Institute of Forestry, Chinese Academy of Forestry, chief expert of the economic forest subject, and chairman of the hazelnut branch of the Chinese Economic Forest Association, announced the results of hazelnut yield testing.

Former Chairman of the Labor Union of the State Forestry and Grassland Administration, Vice President of China Forestry Industry Federation, Chairman of the Brand Building Branch of China Forestry Industry Federation Jiang Zhouming, Director of Shandong Economic Forest Management Station Gongqing Party, Weifang Natural Resources and Planning Bureau IV Senior researcher Wang Chuijun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Mayor Yang Peixiang of Huanghua Town, Zhucheng City, and Wei Benxin, founder of the "Wei Zhen" brand, cut the ribbon for the opening ceremony.

Distinguished guests visited the high-quality hazelnut seedling breeding base and Wei Zhen product experience center, "Wei Zhen" hazelnut milk and "Wei Zhen" high-end hazelnut dietary oil production workshop.

Hazelnut is one of the world's "four major nuts" and an important woody oil species. In recent years, Shandong has vigorously implemented the strategy of large-scale, standardized, branded, and industrialized hazelnut planting, which has promoted the transformation and upgrading of the industry's quality and efficiency.

As one of the series of activities to promote "village revitalization" and innovate "Zhucheng Model", the second China Zhucheng Hazelnut Harvesting Festival will last until August 3!
